Artists Biography & CV

There has been an eighteen-month hiatus in my career since early 2018 until the beginning of 2020. I had a lung condition called Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis which is a deteriorating lung condition with only one cure, which is a lung transplant. The fact that I am writing this means that I have been EXTREMELY fortunate and was lucky enough to survive long enough to receive a single lung transplant in the summer of 2019 at the age of 67, two months of my 68th birthday. I have made smaller works and drawings over this period but now in April 2020 am back to almost normal production and working on an exhibition “In Search of the Purple Fish” to be held at the North Sea Observatory Gallery in August 2020.

Despite this I continued to work all be it on a reduced output from my home studio making and selling work.
